A new house for a couple relocating from Wellington.
The site is south facing but features sea views to the east with rural views to the west and south. A larger ridgeline, adjacent to the site, limits sea views to the eastern portion of the site, this building platform however has strict height plane covenants in place.
The house is configured along the contour east/west, this allows extensive seaviews from the living areas of the house, whilst the bedroom areas are primarily focused on the rural views. These two wings are connected by a covered breezeway, which in turn flows to entry decks on the south and living decks on the north. The house has a low pitching roof which allows it to fit under the covenant height planes. The house is clad in profiled metal and Cedar shiplap cladding.
This project is about to begin construction.
